I'm Kim, founder and lead organizer at Basket Case Organizing. So happy you're here and excited to help you get organized!
As a mom of two, with a background in early childhood and special education, I've spent my early years organizing not only the spaces in my own home, but also the classrooms I've worked in. Long before professional organizing became mainstream, I was sorting, categorizing, labeling and creating systems to make everyday life run more smoothly. Today, I bring those same skills — along with a love of art and design — into every project Basket Case Organizing works on.
A lifelong New Yorker, I have spent the last sixteen years living and working on Long Island's beautiful North Shore, which has given me the opportunity to experience the charm and character of so many homes. I love helping my clients transform their spaces that are not only beautiful but more important, functional. I believe organization makes everyday life easier, more enjoyable and less stressful. Whether it's creating a beautifully organized panty or walk-in closet, streamlining a busy household or preparing for a move, I bring a practical eye and a personalized approach to every project. An organized home should have thoughtful systems that make it feel both comfortable and functional.
My goal is simple: create organized spaces that work for the way you actually live — so you can spend less time managing your home and more time enjoying it.
